day guys been here from uni lad adventure and this week we're discovering my hometown the beautiful state of Queensland in Australia the ultimate holiday destination to visit all year round from the aphids and table ants to the beautiful beaches of the whitsundays Queensland is known for its plethora of vast stunning landscapes there are many ways to explore this beautiful coastline either by hiring a car camper van or taking the inexpensive Greyhound bus
 starting in the Far North Kansas considered the Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef a laid-back city that is best enjoyed outdoors start your day with a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Afton Tablelands it's an early wakeup but the views are second to none relax and listen to the morning birdsong as you enjoy pet risk views over the stunning landscapes below if you enjoyed a facin from the skies it's time to head into the world heritage-listed rainforest home to an abundance of unique flora and fauna picturesque rivers lakes and waterfalls you can spend hours exploring this fascinating region Kansas nicknamed the Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef for a very good reason it's the only

place on Australia's East Coast where you can reach the reef in 30 minutes by boat compared to an average journey of about three hours anywhere else one of the seven natural wonders of the world this underwater utopia is home to 400 types of reef coral 1,500 species of fish and the best way to discover all is through diving or snorkeling on a boat tour the reef is a huge hotspot for tourism in Australia but is currently under threat for many different reasons make sure to do your part don't touch any of the coral and take care while snorkeling diving or experiencing the area head for hours south to Townsville but on the way make sure to stop at Wallin and Falls the largest single drop waterfall in Australia plunging 900 feet into the gorge below you can take a short trek down to the base of the Falls to experience its true beauty when you arrive in Townsville enjoy stunning views from Castle Hill before heading over to Magnetic Islands two-thirds of this beautiful island is National Park peppered with secluded but easily accessible bays and golden beaches make sure to

keep an eye out for wild koalas hiding on the trees and many of the hiking trails but if you miss them you can head to bungalow Bay to get up close with Australia's favorite animal next up are the magical whitsunday islands the small town of airlie beach is where hundreds of boat trips are available to take you out to any of the 74 unique islands sorweful the colorful coral reefs swim of tropical fish and explore one of the best beaches in the world wide open Beach is composed of 98 percent silica making the sounds so pure and white the swells from the lookout are forever changing and the tides so every visit is unique it in a way in South Queensland is the rural paradise of scenic rim known for its breathtaking scenery this popular tourist destination offers visitors plenty to see and do start your morning by hiking up Mount Meru the five-hour round-trip offers 360-degree views of the surrounding area make sure to witness the beautiful sunflower fields these flowers are found from December to February and are sure to make a great addition to anyone's camera roll these fields are private property though so make sure to get permission from a farmer before entering finish your day
